It's Bigger than Hip-Hop

BET had it's first hip-hop award show here in Atlanta last week. It was a good show that brought a lot of prestige and $$$ to the city.
I love hip-hop (not rap), here is a

Dems Win! (Despite Diebold)

I haven't posted in a while, busy with work, family, football. (not in that order of course) My latest obstacle has been problems with my PC.
The Democrats won the House of Representatives & the Congress, and I am happy as hell. Yeah, I know we won't be out of Iraq next week, but at least we have some oversight on GW. If the Repugs would have won this time, I would probably stopped voting/caring.
The only part of the country that the GOP really is strong in now is...the Dirty South!! Mark Taylor got "thumped" in his bid for Gov. against Sonny Perdue. We've got to do some serious work down here before the 08 elections.

Democrat Veterans Pt. 2

From the great Scoobie Davis (1st blog I ever read).

The Choice is Clear in Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional DistrictThe race in Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district is between Democratic candidate Joe Sestak and the incumbent, Republican Curt Weldon. A little about both candidates. Sestak is a highly decorated retired Navy admiral who has served his country with honor and dignity. Weldon is an assclown who was a "Congressional Co-Chair" of the coronation ceremony for America-hating cult leader and ex-con who thinks he's the messiah, Sun Myung Moon.

See the difference between the 2 parties. The Dems for the most part are made up of people who've actually worn the uniform.

"What you see here is a split between the theorists who have never been on a battlefield or never worn the uniform."-- Jim Webb at the MTP debate on the Bush torture proposal.

Why can't all democrat veterans (John Kerry,Murtha,Max Cleland,etc..) respond to the vicious RWW like this??

Bush Jr. puts up with press corps

G.W. can put the word "protect" in damn near every sentence he say's. We need our journalists to be more fearless like the fellow pictured above. ( He took on Bush Jr. to his face!)

Driving While Black (Young & Rich)

Plainclothes officers in an unmarked car stopped the star rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, at about 2 p.m. after he allegedly made an unsafe lane change.
As a crowd gathered and snapped photos with cell phones, the officers ordered 50 Cent out of the flashy sports car and took him to a nearby station.

An unsafe lane change?? What about the guns/drugs?? Surely something was found to warrant all this from "NY's finest".

50 Cent could face as much as $220 in fines and surcharges, police said Friday.
He was let go after a friend showed up with proof that 50 Cent owned the vehicle. The friend, who had a valid license, drove him away, police said.
According to the Web site for Kelly Blue Book, an auto valuation guide, Lamborghini's 2006 models on sale in New York begin at $175,000.
